In the custom gallery you can see some examples of necklaces Fiona has made using the Discarded Jewels service - turning old trinkets into new treasure. Broken chains, old brooches, earrings, pendants, beads and charms get a new lease of life as they are turned into brand new bespoke necklaces. Every piece is different and there is only ever one of each item. You can browse the current custom necklaces for sale in the Custom shop, or you can even have a bespoke piece made, incorporating your own discarded jewels - those old bits of broken jewellery you just don't want to let go of.
Gold Pearl Necklace
This necklace was made from a gorgeous pearl choker which had gold pearls and chain and leaf fastenings at either side. I added a leaf shaped crystal brooch and some chain to make the necklace longer.
Art Deco Bow Necklace
This intricate necklace has a beautiful vintage bow brooch as the centrepiece, with a diamond shaped diamante pendant hanging from the centre. Strands of dark and bright silver chain hang from different points of the bow to create a 1930s style effect.
Crystal Shell Necklace
This necklace was made from a vintage black and crystal bracelet and shell pendant. I used most of the bracelet on the left side and one link on the right. Between the two I hung thick silver chain and a vintage shell pendant with a pearl inside. A few more pearl of different sizes finish the necklace.
Diamante and Pearls Necklace
This necklace was made for a customer who had a broken pearl necklace and a large diamante brooch. I made the brooch the centrepiece and strung the pearls along with some gold chain from it. I then added a few extra pearls and charms, and a horseshoe for good luck!
Golden Bee Necklace
This simple yet stunning necklace features an intricate gold bee brooch, from which hangs various gold chains and some black beaded chain that was once part of a rosary. The necklace measures 40 inches long and has no clasp as it can easily fit over the head.
Watch Face Rosary Necklace
This delicate necklace is made up of strands of vintage gold chain, part of an old rosary with clear glass beads in gold fittings, a vintage locket, and a round watch face. The numbers on the face are all blue except for 12 which is in red. The necklace measures 31 inches long at the shortest length and 35 inches at the longest length.
Black and Crystal Necklace
This gorgeous necklace measures 23 inches at the shortest length and 32 inches at the longest. It comprises of black beaded chain, a black and crystal diamante necklace, a diamante brooch, strands of dark silver chain, and a round crystal bead.
Paris Necklace
This necklace was made as a homage to Paris, the city of romance. The large Paris was an old pendant, next to a bow brooch. Other items incorporated into the necklace are a beautiful old watch, a Paris brooch with miniature Eiffel Tower, oversized pearls, a vintage plastic flower.
Blue Eyes Necklace
This necklace was custom made for Stylist Johnny Blue Eyes, using a vintage pendant with a black rose, strands of silver chain, black faceted glass beads, silver crucifixes and of course Blue Eyes spelt out in vintage silver letters.
Pearls and Crosses Necklace
This necklace was made from a pearl and dark crystal necklace, strands of silver chain, old crucifix charms, and a vintage dress clip.
