Olympics!!!

I think like a lot of people I was surprised how much I'm enjoying the Olympics - as well as the popular sports such as cycling, gymnastics and swimming I had no idea I would find ones such as archery, weightlifting and hockey so thrilling! There you go. Having not bothered to apply for any tickets I'm not going to watch anything live, but I did get to visit the Olympic Park yesterday and have a wander around. 

It was thoroughly enjoyable, there was a lovely park with giant screens where we watched the British cycling team win gold (hoorah!) and were impressed by the architecture of the stadiums (I was with three people who work in architecture and planning so that's saying something). But I think my favourite part was seeing people of various countries wearing matching patriotic outfits - a family wearing German flag cowboy hats - check! A couple with American flats sticking out of their backpacks - check! Six elderly Danes decked out in Denmark t-shirts  and hats - yes! I managed to subtly (or not) capture them on camera...
