Chelsea Flower Show

I went to the Chelsea Flower Show last Friday for the first time, and it was AMAZING! I'm not a massive gardener but I do love flowers (the colours - so pretty!). Anyway, the show comprised of various gardens, plus a pavilion which showcased pretty much every kind of flower you can imagine.

My favourite display was the Thai Garden, the one I'm photographed standing in front of haha! It had a beautiful pavilion, a waterfall of flowers, elephants, a gold boat - amazing.

There were a few weird things at the show, like the scary lady made of plants. See the photo for explanation, be afraid.

The one thing I wish I could have got to see properly was the pyramid garden by Diarmuid Gavin, which I thought just contained plants but after reading the leaflet they handed out I realised that it had six levels which you can get to by elevator (you are greeted by a 1920s style elevator boy to take you up) which include a restaurant, a greenhouse and a helter skelter. However, the crowds were ridiculous, it was boiling hot and nothing could have made me stand in a queue at that point!

But I have some fabulous photographs to remind me of the day - I was mainly looking for colour inspiration hence the close ups. Most them are here, but there are also some more on my Pinterest pinboard which you can see here.

crazy colours in those flowers Fiona, nice shots.
